Kayaking and Cliff Jumping in Croatia

20160906_100547_007_01.jpgI know, I know, it’s been a while…I’ve been a jetsetting fool this month and just haven’t had time to sit down and blog!  Now that I’m back into the swing of things, take a look at some of the coolest things to do and see in some of the most popular European cities, starting with Dubrovnik, Croatia!

“Wait, what’s in CROATIA?”  Uh…everything.

It’s beautiful.

The food is delish.

The people are incredible.

Game of Thrones is filmed there (apparently people watch that show a lot?)

Check out the Fortress

The gorgeous (and free to do!) Fort Lovrijenac offers one of the most beautiful views of the Adriatic Sea as well as the cityscape.  Take some time to stroll up, grab some amazing pics, and take in the scenery.

Kayak on the Adriatic Sea

Do. Not. Miss. This.  We booked a tour through Adventure Dalmatia and we are SO happy we did!  This three hour excursion takes you on the clear blue sea, where you’ll see Lokrum Island, caves, and learn a bunch of cool history about the city.  Our amazing guide, Mario, was incredible and super knowledgeable–request him if you can!

Climb the City Walls

If you haven’t already guessed, Dubrovnik is a city where you WALK.  The historic city walls are no exception.  I recommend venturing out early in the morning before the cruise lines dock and tourists make a beeline for this popular activity.

EAT EVERYTHING

The seafood in Croatia is to die for and even my meat-and-potatoes loving travel mate was devouring sea bass and salmon!  Stop into any of the adorable indoor/outdoor restaurants in the downtown area and have the meal of your life.

Now, for a REALLY great meal, head to 360 Dubrovnik, and upscale restaurant with a rooftop that overlooks the city.  Unfortunately, it rained during our reservation and we were unable to go to the roof–but that food was some of the best I’ve ever had.  Take a look:
