Who doesn’t love a good wall serving as the backdrop of their next selfie?
To know me is to know that I’ll stop for even the grungiest of graffiti and take a thousand photos of it. Walking around Chicago, you see a LOT.
But where are the best spots for the perfect Instagram pic? I got you…
G&O
The gorgeous, abstract wall that makes up G&O is a perfect bold background and makes for a fun, carefree photo. Located on – you guessed it – Grand and Ogden, G&O also serves up some delicious cocktails and upscale bar food as well.
Logan Square Preservation
Seriously, just walk up and the streets of Logan Square for about 20 minutes and you’ll see some of the brightest and boldest murals in Chicago. Hit up Logan Square Preservation to check out a blocks-long series of art that is sure to offer something for everyone.
Greetings From Chicago Mural
No Instagram is complete without a pic in front of the beautiful Greetings from Chicago Mural! Located in the heart of Logan Square, this mural quite literally illustrates everything Chicago is about — food, sports, music, and history.
Underpass on Chicago & Sangamon
If you’re walking west on Chicago Avenue, you’ll no doubt run into a beautiful series of street art located at the underpass on Sangamon Street. Gritty, gorgeous, and all-around stunning, your selfie game will be the envy of your followers.
UrbanBelly
If you’re near the Six Corners in Wicker Park, you can’t miss a ‘gram opportunity at Urbanbelly, a chic and delish Asian fusion restaurant right in the heart of the neighborhood. Have lunch and a cocktail, then head outside to mug in front of this bad boy. How pretty is this tropical wall?!
Lincoln & Ashland Intersection
You know that gigantic Whole Foods on Lincoln Avenue? Look across the street and see a drool-worthy Instagram opp. Right there on Lincoln and Ashland, you’ll see a Chicago-themed mural complete with the skyline, the Navy Pier ferris wheel, and the Lake created by artist Anthony Lewellen.
